A little woods plunder!:garrett:

Was a grand morning to be out raiding the woods. So good, in fact, ran into tabman and Benny. Don't know if they did any good, other then trying to sneak up on me. Didn't work.

Dug a few more targets this morning then has been the norm of late. My luck changed after running into the guys. Got the 2 Rosies along a trail, both with in a foot of each other. 46 and a 62d. Through out the hunt, got 3 wheat cents, 34, 40, & 42. Also got 2 pieces of junk jewelry, a cross bracelet and 2 piece band gold looking ring. Both were just under the leaves. The real prize for me was the scout kerchief slide. Apparently had been there a while as close to 7" deep not counting a 3" layer of leaves.

You northern guys, hit those snow hills. If John can do it, so can you. HH jim tn

Looks like a wonderful day detecting to me. The needle tip is a little disturbing though, and I try to remove them when found.

Well, you made up for yesterday! :clapping: So you are about even for the year regarding your daily silver intake I presume? Thats oldish looking dirt! old shotgun bases, silver etc...whats up with that needle though? Its out of place with the rest.

That's a real good days hunting. Think I had one of those kerchief slides when I was in Cub Scouts.Congrats, Artie

Nice finds on the silver, wheaties and the scout slide. Don't want to find any needles, tho. Glad you got out and did some dirt fishing.

Nice going. At first I thought I was seeing a air pump needle, like for a ball...oh crap I hate finding needles - happens too often. I always wear gloves and watch where I put my hands. Hope to get my first hunt of 2014 in Monday.
