Did a little old house hunting today and managed to snag a merc. After seeing Bill's GOLD I'm almost ashamed to post it! :)

The Mercury (actually "freedom of thought" and not Mercury at all) is a MUCH prettier coin. ;-) Lord help us if we have to hit Bill's bar for posting.

Nice find.

Man, if I ever dug a gold coin, I had better have one of those portable "defibrillator" heart reboot machines! (then I'd have to sell it to pay my hospital bill)... Oh well... maybe I'd be better off not finding one!...(NOT!)

Congrats again Bill!..

before the rains came & I figured I had found like everything else so I was hoping a seated or bust silver was next:) I did pop another coin outta the iron but it was a deep British copper from the mid- 1700's.....kept the coin roll going.
When I dug the gold coin it was wierd. It was not like a jump up & down feeling. I actually nervously dropped it back into the hole & it was more of a numb feeling.....
HH,
Bill
