i've been detecting for a few years now, nothing fancy.love to do it, not much time to do it.been using the same detector the whole time.so i get home from work the other day and a gift was there for me!!![attachment 138640 DSCF3507-1.JPG] yep,the XLT. i couldnt believe it!i have'nt been that exited since....heck, i cant remember when.well, i took it on its maiden voyage this weekend with ohio fred. we came across some information about an old site that had a jail, store, and a tannery.a block of sandstone on the property had been a corner stone of one of the buildings. it was dated 1894.awsome.after obtaining permission we started our search.about 3 hours of hiking through the thick brush all we found were some old bottles and a couple of super old dump sites. we will have to go back as soon as some of the vegetation dies off.i learned alot about the XLT though. but alot more to learn.thanks again fred.

Nice. With an excellent selection of coils and both rechargeable and alkaline battery packs, you are ready to go!

Tim Dude is my brother in law whom i go hunting with.He has two machines 250 and a xlt great guy who always takes care of his family and nothing for himself except for work tools,so his lovely wife and beautiful children wanted to give him a gift and i just happen to have one.Yes on the maiden voyage we really got nothing to post that was so great. hike through the woods and around found a few bottels and some newer coins and a couple hot wheels may try again before summer is over.

nice pile of goodies fred. its bigger than mine so far this year. i found myself wandering around the park behind my house in the dark ( since i have a backlight) being eaten by mosquitoes. and under the power lines. i really need another class fred.im working saturday and off sunday.maybe find another site to search. i got a boat and trailer coming, maybe check out the island in the river:)
