A little silver

Went down to Ailey Ga on Friday to see if I could call in a gobbler for my son. Of course I had to do some detecting. On Sunday i was detecting on the grass strip between the street and sidewalk in an area where there homes that were built in the early 1900's. Gentleman invited me to detect the Church Yard. I worked the yard hard and found very little. The yard had been hit and hit hard. I kept think "They had to miss at least one piece of silver". Was about to give up when I got a strong high tone and knelt down to pinpoint and discovered the Rosie was just laying on the dirt. I think someone may have dug it and then lost it. Glad that I found it. The turkeys would not cooperate. Had three gobblers that were chasing each other instead of hens.

Instead of the hens? Hey son, what part of Georgia was this anyway? Miami?

Central Ga not too far from Vidalia (Onion City). I told my Son that I thought that the Gobblers were Gay. Usually they are enemies during the breeding season but we saw three together one time and four together another time. Only say one hen in 6 days of hunting.

Have your son try playing an old Barbara Streisand or Cher tape on his call...if he does not have an electronic call, try whistling any show tunes.
