Howdy--
We had a nice day for detecting - in the mid 60's and we HAD to take advantage of it. Last week , on the way home from detecting, I noticed a corner lot that just had an old house removed. The lot was in an old neighborhood where we had previously dug silver. This was the first nice day that we had the chance to hunt it so off we went.
We dug mostly Memorials and clad but I was lucky to dig a couple wheat cents and a 1961-D Roosevelt. Cool finds were a Thomas Edison token and a small aluminum foreign coin. The fortuitous event was when nature called and I had to make a beeline for the bushes, while in the bushes I continued to swing the 6x10 coil on my V3i and and I got a signal! It turned out to be a ring with many diamond chips! Of course the ring fits my wife perfectly! I guess the point is: Keep swinging the coil!! Best of luck and...
