It's 4 gr. stamped "916" the stone looks to be about 30 points. Got it with my "street sweeper" (Excal Blue Tubes / WOT).

Sorry to hear that you are having a tough season-me too. Just do what's worked before, try to lean and understand more about the sites you hunt and cover, cover, cover. It's also helped me to stay in the shallows--where the targets are. Stay close to the marl--that way you are accessing more time of the site's functioning. And as one of the top pros in the world (he just found an $18,500 rock) said to me the other day "think positive".

Nice find, it's one of the things that continues to drive us. Keep it up, but remember, man does not throw away gold so your find is a blessing. How many pull tabs, shredded cans, fence twists etc... did you have to dig before you find one ring. You paid your dues, congrats!
