A Little Rain And A New Spot

I haven't been out much because it's been so dry around here. We finally got some good rain over the weekend and I was able to get in a couple of hunts at a new spot. This place was an old school but is now a church. The place has a lot of property around it but it seems a lot of it has been moved around and filled. I found one area out front that is original to the old school and hunted it pretty hard and did pretty well. I was happy to see an SLQ because it's been a long time since I've dug one. Got a few nice old coins but I really enjoy digging relics like the US Army collar disk and the 1922 dog license, my oldest one I've found. It's back to being dry but we are getting a really nice break in temperature this week. Hope to get out again soon. HH & GL

Thanks Mark! Yeah the last one I dug was 15 months ago. I know I wouldn't be disappointed to dig a few more. I've only found one that has a date so I'm always hoping I can see the year when I get the dirt off.

Friend of mine was tearing down an old House and found a whole Coffee can full of SLQ Quarters. He took them home and someone stole them the next day.

Thanks bud, Yeah I guess because those SLQ's were only minted a few years just didn't have as many to get lost. And I've been busy and it's been too dry to get out digging. Need some rain in a bad way,

That would be something else to find a whole coffee can of silver coins! And man that makes me sick to hear that got stolen!
