would you stop and pick up a penny if you saw one on the ground?

My wife giggles when I do it, but yesterday she gave me one that she found. She hasn't asked to go hunting with me yet.

when i was a punk kid.my friends and i would go to north station in boston and exercise the bums that used to hang out there bumming change.
we'd statigicly[sp] place ourselves in different areas of the station and roll penny on the floor.those bums could probobly tell you if it was a penny,nickle or dime just by the sound of it hitting the tiled floor.we'd be rolling them from all directions and those guys would be chasing them down as quick as you could flip em out.after awhile we actually could get them in sinc,almost like line dancing.and you know they wouldn't even look up to see where they were coming from,they just kept their eye on the rolling prize.
ahh the good ole days.

and cash it in once a year. Last week I took it all to a Coinstar machine. $372 plus about $20 the machine rejected.

..... look under the couch, chairs, bed, dresser etc to scarf up enough pennys to afford 1 hotdog at the butcher shop for dinner. Seems I had plenty of fun money but not enough for food. Since then I pick up every coin I can find.
