A little more practice at the museum today

Went back to the local museum again today to practice a bit with the camera. I am starting to get the hang of the lighting conditions in there. Here are a few of the keepers from the days shooting.
This is my favorite one of the day. The colors and the contrast between the statue and the background really grabbed my attention. I was going to adjust my white balance to make the statue a bit whiter but I decided to stay in auto to get a warmer, more subdued color.

This next shot was a bit of a disappointment when I looked at it on my computer. I thought by focusing on the mural behind the machines that it would have more of a realistic look to it. In hind sight, I should have focused on the machines and let the depth of field blur the mural. Oh well, thats part of the learning process I guess.

This last one just had a nice feel to it. I considered converting this one to sepia in photoshop but after thinking it decided to just leave it alone.

nice shots but it is a little hard to look at the whole picture, the size you are making them. I have to download them and look at them in photoshop to see them as they should be.
700 wide or maybe a little larger would be easier to see.
This one is 700 wide

You are sure getting some good shots though!!

My Photoshop is set to 1024x768 by default. I'll try to remember to scale it down before posting. By the way, I've spent hours and hours on that photography site you suggested. I have already submitted some photos and the criticisms have been pretty good so far. Plus, there's lots of boobies on that site too.

I usually get my desktops from that site but now I have you guys
