A little hunt

those marks are called hallmarks they usually have a crown for crown jeweler an usually have initials somewhere might need a magnifying glass to help ya look or it might be worn off
 
your welcome that is pretty cool cause he was a jeweler an the story is ......Ostby & Barton, a very successful jewelry firm in Providence, Rhode Island, founded in 1879. Firms owner Mr.Ostby perished on the Titanic in 1912 at the age of 65. Firms jewelry became highly sought after by collectors around the world!
