A Little Help Please

Wolfdog

I'am sure this has been asked before, Outlaw or Vaquero?
Have had Garrett 2500, a 202 bounty hunter, Fisher F2, Tacker Bounty Hunter, now I have The MXT.
Thinking of trading the MXT for the Oulaw or The Vaquero.
What do you have and what do you like and dislike about them?
Thanks for any Help!

The Vaquero is a little deeper, but I'd rather use the Outlaw. I really like it's audio tone and response.

tabman

You know that old commercial, "When E.F. Hutton talks" (LISTEN) Same with Tabman . I'm going to look at an Outlaw for local yard hunting.. I bought an 8 inch concentric for my "V" and really only had it out for a very short time. 8:24, still some time to hit a small yard 1600's house facing the main drag.

Went to the house. Set the disc very high and got a bunch of solid signals. Grass wet...just rained.. Little wampires all over the place singing Supper time, supper time. Cooler and no rain, going back tomorrow, possibly less problem with the blood suckers.

Hell, i will gladly trade you my outlaw with all three coils for the mxt!!!

I'm a Tesoro guy and double on that! I wish I could afford one! Nothing wrong with an Outlaw, but OMG-having all that versatility with an MXT. As Gomer would say, "Shazam!"

First, let's be sure to remember this, and I've said it for years, when shopping for a new unit:

"There is no such thing as a 'perfect' metal detector!"

You'll get personal opinions, and many haven't used both enough to learn them, and you might not have the same hunting sites or wants in a detector as the responders, so, use caution.

That said, I have owned four (4) Vaqueros and borrowed/used others. I do not currently own an Outlaw, but I am looking for a new 3-coil pack Outlaw to add to my personal detector battery. I owned a couple of Bandido II

Thanks to all that replied,Lots of great info.

Great advice,Think I will kept it and get the smaller coil.

Thanks Wolfdog
