This will be included in our January 2009 Family's Choice newsletter we send to all our commercial accounts and also have at our register for customers to pick up. Some customers subscribe to our newsletter via E-mail.

Have you ever needed a magnetized screwdriver to either pick up a dropped screw or hold a screw while you drive it in a tight place?

You can easily magnetize any screwdriver. Use an 18" to 20" piece of wire. Strip off about 5" of insulation off one end and about 1/2" off the other end. Wrap about 5 turns of the 5" stripped wire end around the screwdriver shaft.

Hold the screwdriver tip to a 12 volt vehicle battery terminal, then quickly touch and remove the other end of the wire to the other battery terminal ... just let it quickly spark and immediately remove it. Do that about 4 times. The battery current magnetizes the screwdriver.

.... if you don't have one and don't want to spend the money to buy one ...... or are away from where you keep your magnets? ..... Hummmmmm?

from where your vehicle is....... and it's a life or death situation to get that screwdriver magnetized? Seems to me the only sure way to be safe is to carry a DieHard and a piece of wire on your person at all times.

... and collect all that energy!
