A little gold today

Hit a few parks today - got more jewelry in 10 min than in my whole 2 days detecting New Mexico last week. Not many coins as the places are worked over heavily by others , but they missed a few things.

The Micky Mouse ear ring is 10 K, the rest are not precious metals. The gold is not stamped at all but sure looked like gold so I tested it with my acid kit and it's 10 K . Better not pass up any of your unmarked pieces. These hair pins with fake stones on them sure look great each time I dig one. Great weather now - high 80's / low 90's. steve in so az

good thing ya had a test kit for the gold (don't have one myself - yet). See ya got a 'rolled penny'. Where was that one made? I've run across several and am sometimes amazed how far they have travelled from where it says they are made. So always curious when I see a 'rolled penny'.
Congrats on the finds - especially the gold - Steve.

is a cool find! :) Congrats Steve!

The penny is from the International Wildlife Museum - right here in Tucson. I have a display of rolled pennies from over the years digging. Steve

all gold = the Micky ear ring; a Minnie bracelet with 7-8 Minnies on it; and a Micky Mouse ring. Think an ebay sale is in my future, steve

a sterling silver Tweety Bird! :)

but I almost never see another detectorist. When I do I usually stop just to talk to another digger. And there are so many guys & gals here with machines. steve
