A little gold This Weekend

I haven't posted in quite a while, but finally found something interesting. I found a 22K gold band @ Approx 4 inches deep. Thanks for looking!

It weighs in at 3 grams on my digital scale. Thanks for the link to the gold calculator. That puts it at about $140.00!
 
Littfam, Do you recall the VDI? I need a shot of motivation to dig the pulltab range...:laugh:

The VDI was a full confidence 35 with a full confidence 37 every 3 or 4 sweeps. I was targeting jewelery on this hunt, therefore I was digging all solid signals from VDI 3 or so upwards. Occasionally I will dig a 0 or 1 or 2 If I felt like it. My discrimination was at around 3 and my gain was at +1 hunting in 2 tone relic mode. All coins were at 4 to 7 inches due to summer hunters cleaning up shallow targets. The good jewelery is there, but lots of digging is necessary. I also hunt areas where I know or think people will be throwing frisbees or balls, and just kinda engaging in rough "play".
 
Thanks for the info, particularly your technique on hunting strategy. I've had a couple of "lucky" hits on rings at 35 VDI also. Thanks again Littfam.
