A little gold helps when not finding silver !

Two more hunts and still no silver. I'm getting closer with digging a 1945-P war nickel yesterday. Dug a lot of deep signals which resulted in a nice brass key, a flat button and some whatsit with the eight pointed star. Did manage the nice 1890 and 1889 indian head cents, a well worn Buffalo nickel and another nasty V nickel. While digging nickel signals, I was lucky to come up with a nice 14k gold ring. Also dug a little charm with Gen. George Washington on the front and a wasted pewter military sweat heart ring.

Ed, like that ring 14k nice, that 1890 IH, is in nice condition, and I do like that key very much, have a nice trip to Florida, see ya when ya get back buddy...

Last time I checked, War Nickels were made out of 35% silver.

If you find 2 war nickels, it is the same amount of silver as a dime. To me silver is silver. I'm not gonna stick a war nickel in a Coke machine.

Nice finds Ed- Congrats on the gold! You might not be finding the silver right now, but you're always on your game when it comes to nickels and Indians! Hope we can hook up soon.
