At what conductivity number are you guys and girls finding your coins, and what search setting are you using? Such as Indians, wheats, copper pennies, and silvers. I know Digger put a post up in the resource center. But now with the CTX being almost a year old, let's get some feedback from everyone.

I'm too new to comment on coin reading but I sure dug a bunch of trash last weekend in the 12/35 to 12/45 coin range using Ferrous Coin. It was disappointing to get readouts like that and dig trash.

I run open screen pattern #2 24 fe line at 120hz bin 1 0 to 9 at 200 hz bin 2 10 to 15 at 1000hz bin 3 16 to 29 at 600hz and bin 4 30 to 50 at 1000hz fast on ferrous coin combine sense at 21 to 23 plus 3 sound normal gain 30 volume level 15 target trace and pinpoint trace on pinpoint lock on . Indians come in at 12.35 but found a corroded one 12.31 and a nice indian at 12.32 go figure zincs at 12.37 some as low as 12.35 depending if corroded memorials at 12.43 to 12.44 nickles at 12.13 solid but some v nickles and buffs at 12.11 to 12.13 war nickles only got 2 at 12.15 dimes at 12.43 almost all some at 12.42 to 12.44 quarters at 12.45 some at 12.46 half's at 12.44 the first #s on the coins is 90 percent of the time the second #s not very often.DukeOBass if your getting lots of trash at 12.35 to12.45 sorry you need more time behind the detector I run ferrous coin combine always just works for me I had a lot of issues using this program as you are but with more time it will just click and you will be digging less land less junk as you use it there are little things that tell you if it's trash or not the biggest thing to look for is where it's pinpointing if it does not pinpoint where it sound best it's 90 percent junksube

Is anyone digging memorial copper pennies at 12/44 12/45? How about wheats hitting 12/43 12/45? Indians hitting 12/39 12/40?

Yes. Most of the memorials I find hit at 12-45. Some hit at 12-43, but, those could be dimes also. Don't know about the others. Haven't found a wheat, for the last six months, let alone an Indian in my area!

Memorial copper pennies 12:41-43
Wheat Pennies 12:42-44
Silver Dime 12:43-44
Silver Quarter 12:44-46
Silver Half 12:45-47

Open Screen, Combined, Ferrous Coin

LC 12-46
Indian Head 12:30-38 Most of the time 12-34
Wheat Pennies 12:38-46 Most of the time 12-44 bouncing up to 12-46
Silver Dime 12:42-46 Most of the time 12-43 bouncing up to 12-46 (I did get one very thin Seated 1877 Love token at 8 inches that was 12-38 )
Silver Quarter 12:46-48 Most of the time 12-46 bouncing up to 12-48

Open Screen, Combined, Ground Coin

GH's pattern, Nickels set for a high tone, Manual sens as high as I can run it, open screen, small coil, 99% on house and business demo lots I get the feeling the high manual sensitivity makes for a more scattered ID numbers. When I try to run in Auto, auto +3, I rarely get depth over 3 or 4 inches but the numbers are much more accurate. Very very slow sweep speeds.

Memorials come in from 34-43, with the cruddy rotten ones coming in at anywhere from 34-39. IH at 34/35, wheats from 38-42, clad dimes at 43/44, silver dimes usually at 44/45, clad dimes will almost always be at 43 on the sweep then pin point at 44. Quarters-clad at 44-46, silver 45-47, nickels will be usually FE11/12 and CO 11-13.-12/13,

Have dug Mercs a with a sweep hit at 12-39/40 and pin point at 44-45.

All good dug targets had a smooth high pure tone, with the cruddy memorials being a bit more splotchy hoarse sounding.

Thank you! I wish I had someone local to help me shorten the curve.

THese are what I am digging. Not always constant but it is a fairly high %. Not counting the indians I have yet to hit one. Silver has been very jumpy and iffy minus a couple targets but the iffy jumpy targets where DEEP so I dug them just because of that.

Yup I'm getting some wheats that ring up to 12:45 in ferrous coin sometimes. Had an 1897 IH ring in at 12:39 last week and a 1889 V nickel at 12:19

I have hit copper memorials anywhere from 12/39 to 12/44 and Wheats in the same range. A little strange though is that I never find Indians considering the age of the sites I usually go to (mid to late 1800s. It seems like almost 100% of the time if I get a deep 12/32-12/38 signal, it ends up being deep iron giving false signals (Using Ferrous Coin of course).

I had a few memorial pennies hit today at a playground at 4 and 5 inches like quarters coming in at 12-43 to 45 and 1 hit 13-45! I am running ferrous coin combined recover deep and fast I thought it was very weird

I run a combined mode - open screen most of the time - ferrous-coin as well as a multi-tone mode with Andy's coin discrimination pattern - high trash.

Memorials usually come in from 12-43 to 12-45
Wheats from 12-38 to 12-45
Indians from 12-33 to 12-39 ( 12-35,36 mostly)
Silver dimes 12-42 to 12-46 depending on depth, wear
Silver quarters 12-46
Silver half 01-46

One thing I noticed from the beginning is that the CO numbers come in one or two numbers lower when in FE-coin combined mode than when in high trash multi.

We could actually use more of you guys replying to this. Anybody else?

Went to the park the other day just to dig quarters at 45 and up at ferros coin
Worked pretty good one target was two quarters in one hole. Also dug a silver ring. Next time I'm going back for gold signals.

Using stock coin mode, ferrous coin, auto sens+3, deep on, normal pinpointing:

Quarters: 12-45-46
Dimes: 12-44-45
Copper memorials 12-43-44
Wheats: 12-40-42
Later Indians: 12-36-38
Nickels: 12-11-14

I am working a property that has been damp, even in our dry conditions. It used to be a boys camp from the 20's now just a summer place for an older couple. Signals are VERY different here. I am running combined, ferrous coin, fast and deep off, manual sensitivity 27. The wheat's come in at 12/37-38, silver dimes, I have found 6 in two hunts, come in low in screen numbers 12/41 but the audio tone is right where it should be. They are about 6-8" deep, heavy damp soil. has anyone else had the low TID #s but spot on audio response? If it sounds great DIG IT :bouncy:

Here are my usual numbers.

Wheat's 12/39-41
Dimes 12/43 SOLID
Quarters 12-13/45
Memorials 12/44
Indians 12/38
Nickles 12/12-13

Silver Dimes 12/44-45
Silver Quarters 12/46, 13/47

HH Quack
Silver Half 11-12/46-47

Large Cent 12-42
Old Coppers 12/42, 12/45
