A little disappointed. Had my ac adapter quit on my TDI SL. Call the Whites, they say, call the dealer where I bought the machine. Called the dealer and they say call service center, which is Centreville Electronics. Centreville says box up and ship to them to check. My cost was $5.95 shipping, on a machine I've had 6 weeks.
Now, on the flip side, I've had many other machines in the many years I've been hunting. Garrett has never asked me to send them the parts first, especially something as cheap as an adapter. They always sent me the part, at no cost either way. I even had them send me an entire detector before I sent them mine back. Same type of experience with 1st Texas, no issues there. Maybe that is the way it is now. Now that I've sent it off, I think I could have went to Wal-Mart and bought an adapter, (very simple, all the specs are printed on the adapter) for under $10.
