A Little Creepy

I heard and interesting story.
There'd been lots of snow in the last few days(30 inches) and someone had gone missing. Her car was found at the end of the road beyond which was nothing but coniferous bog and spruce and hemlock forest for miles. Searchers had been looking for three days but all sign as smells have been obliterated. Then the radio, they asked anyone with a metal detector to drop it off so it could be used in the search. What do you all think of using a metal detector to find a body in 2-3 feet of snow?

I would think it is worth a try. Have nothing to lose, may be able to pick up a faint signal. Snow is not very dense.

Laying flat just too deep to even detect a watch, however person may have rested against a tree, arm could be up in air to detect ring etc..From previous experience in police work bodies are not always laying flat..Always felt myself all efforts available
should be used..Your call...
