A little creek hunting today.

Finished work a little early today so dgravedigger and I headed out to hunt a pretty large creek, in an area where an old bridge used to cross back in the 1800's. Not much luck in the water except for some fishing sinkers and lures so I headed up some of the old trails and had some luck. Check out the rust spots on the 1943 quarter it was in the hole with a large old rusty nail. The AT Gold is one amazing machine.

I'd be thrilled with that much silver in one hunt. Just don't happen in my neck of the woods. Good hunting!

Very nice silver!!!!!!

OK...That clinches it!!!...We are plannong a weekend trip to Albany!!!
Great hunt and that walker is sweeeet!!!

HH,

You'll love creek hunting, I've made some great finds over the years in the creeks. But be careful slippery rocks and fast moving water make for a tough hunt. Good luck.

You did it again, Butch! Some beautiful coins there, and in nice shape, too.

Believe it or not that was the shallowest target of the day. I got a signal that nearly blew my headphones off my head, it was back and forth between a 92 and 94 I figured it to be a can lid but I kicked away the leaves and there it was staring back at me. I almost felt guilty picking it up, the coins in this patch of woods I was hunting are typically not that deep but come on, a surface find. Well at least I had to kick the leaves out of the way. :wiggle:
