A little chilly but

I went hunting anyway. Rob drove down to join me thinking it was warmer further South in the state. :thumbdown: I knew where an old school used to be in what is now a corn field and it finally got picked and plowed so it was game on. A bit chilly and windy but I lasted about four hours and picked up a few goodies. The large disk is a $1.00 merchandise token for a store in Gridley, IL and the IH is a 1876. The shield thing with the writing worn off the front says Pat. 12/29/1869 on the back. Some wheaties, a couple of buttons and odd and ends made for a pretty good hunt.

That was definitely worth a chilly hunt! (Good goin' and hopefully close enough for you to get back to soon?) What type of settings did you run in that situation?

Cool and congrats on some fun finds.....and that date of Indian is no slouch.

I use the same program for all hunting Scott, the Hi Pro with a few personal touches changed like Iron accepted but set to zero tone. The field was fertilized so the salt mode worked best for me and when the trash was high like near the road, I turned correlate on. I had recovery set at 75 and filters was 5 high pass and out of habit, I hunt AutoTrac off and GB every half hour or so. My ground just doesn't not change that much.

Funny but when we stopped for a coffee break we found we had made the same changes to our Hi Pro program.

Nice finds Guys.. Chilly here too. I got out.. Nothing but new money..

Nice finds Larry... I tried that High Pro today for just a few minutes..

Bet pulling that Indian out warmed you up.

Nice hunt, That B looks like a company letter off a civil war kepi. Does it have attachment hooks on the back?

Nice hunt .:twodetecting::thumbup:

Funny, that caught my attention too Andy and it does have 4 mounting pins on the back. I don't know how many Company B has but I suspect my "B" is from a Buick.......:sick: I hope I am wrong if someone can help me out here.
