The day before I was going on holiday to the Cannaries I decided to catch a few hours detecting on my local beach. I found the medalions first they have a bible on one side and the complete lords Prayer on the other. I nearly lost the four other medalion, I had dug the first and as I went to move away, the detector that was on a suspended off my waste gave another signal. I dug the second and investigated the the rest of the surounding area. Another three the same came up, but no chain. The crucifix was a real shall I or shan't I, a low quiet grunt of a signal. It eventually came up from a depth of about 18" It is made of pewter and nearly 3" lomg. The finish is poor almost like it was cast but never finished off.I intend to drop it into the local museum see if they can date it for me.
You can imagine what I was thinking when I dug up these two items up. Was a greater power trying to tell me that flying might not be a very good idea. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

That is the first time I have heard a story like this. I would think that God was really looking out for you with all those religious finds. The cross is awesome. HH
