what type of light should I use for photos of Jewelry, I only have a desk light that swivels. Right now it has a 75watt soft white bulb, the white background has a yellow tint in all my pictures.I have a 7.1mp digital camera. The camera is new to me don't know all the settings yet. All outside pictures turn out great.

The easiest solution is to see if your camera has a custom white balance. This should improve things a lot. Could also post process the yeoow color cast out.

The professional way is to get a soft box or light tent with a photographic grade light setup.

Good luck!

If you change your white balance settings in the camera then change it to incandescent. Incandescent is usually next to the automatic white balance selection in most cameras.
