A KG II, a CT copper, and a very interesting button with a silver emblem

I went back to the farm field I've been working. Found a King George II (maybe 1750) a Connecticut copper (about 1787), a nice buckle, a sterling silver cuff link, couple of buttons, and a very interesting looking rosette perhaps with some silver emblem on it. anyone have any ideas if it means anything?
A good day..

Another great hunt GK. That farm field has been a honey hole for you! Congrats!
Just a guess on my part.....but the little rosette with the silver emblem could represent the Ouroboros, which is a snake (or dragon) eating his tail, a symbol representing eternity or the endless cycle of life and death. HH Randy

Thanks Digger.. Oh yeah, I see that now.... I probably have about 65 percent of the field done but that is only one direction. Who knows what could come out of there this fall...

I meant to mention that the one picture there, is of the back of the rosette and it shows the intricate design etched into. it

The ground was good to the coins there. That button must be something have you searched yet? Anyway nice

I haven't Todd... I should have put something along side of the rosette or button, whatever it is for scale since it is quite large. I am wondering if the silver was originally a Spanish reale, hahaha,

The hahaha about the reale is that CTTodd and I were detecting a house and he was only a few yards from me when he found a reale. I confess that I passed the area up because I thought it was all fill and not worth detecting. Goes to show you that you never know where that fill may have come from.

Oh was using GH mode and the Seventeen incher.I am gridding the field off with stakes and working my way across it

Nice old colonial finds! Looks like it could be silver on the rosette. I always look forward to seeing your "diggins'". You've got me beat so far. I've only found KG IIIs and a 1798 Draped Bust Large Cent. I have found a few Connecticut coppers.

A $6000.00 find is worth taking your time in that place. Maybe there's a better looking twin there! I look forward to seeing a picture of it!

Not sure I could swing a 17 incher in the fields I'll be hunting. It's all corn so I expect a bunch of troublesome stalks. If I knew they would plow it, I'd order one in before the time comes. Around here they seem to stick with the "No Till" planting style. Very rarely do I see a field plowed up.

This is actually a completely different farm from the one I found the 1793

I agree with Digger concerning the rosette; reminds me of Celtic or Viking designs I've seen in books. Great bunch of finds!

Thanks, I looked online for something like it but was unable to find a match. Oh, well, it's still pretty neat.
