As I said yesterday, I have resurrected the Ace for the season. This moring I took it out to the local soccer field and tot lot for a few hours. Found a ton of trash, but like an idiot, I deleted the pic before I stored it. So, all I have to show are the meager gleanings for the time out:

Not really anything to speak of, but better than nuttin'
I went bare basics today, leaving my possibles bag behind. It doesnt help that one of the cats found it and decided to use it as a toilet. Better left at
home, as I said...
Here then are the basics:

Ratty pickup truck, cup of coffe on the bed rail, detector, headphones, trowel and pouch. Some of you will recall that truck cost me $500 two years ago - and it's still going strong.
The obligatory close up of the basic gear:

See the dot at the front of the coil and the bit of white paint on the center notch? Visual aids for PP'ing, mate. Give them a try, if you havent already.
Also have alook at that trowel, will you? Im proud of that beast. I call it "the Badger" and let me tell you, it has yet to fail me in many years of continual use. It can be extended, thanks to the coupling in the middle, but that isnt normally needed. Fancy? No; its just black iron pipe sections and electrical conduit, welded up solid.
Nonetheless, you may want to consider something like this. Cheap, simple and utterly reliable.
Is this not a great pastime?
