A job has presented itself - interview tomorrow morning

Pete in MI

New member
If this pans out I will be much happier with this job than Walmart could ever have given me. Pray that I am able to pass all the requirements and start work immediately. The start pay is great (much more than Walmart was paying me), get to drive a company vehicle to the jobs and to/from home, would be repairing equipment and not dealing with people as much as machines - machines are easier to figure out (and less inclined to turn on another person), has medical coverage, pay raise of 50 cents an hour after 90 days, yearly raises, safety and incentive bonuses, 401k after a year (not sure if I can transfer my 401k into it or elsewhere would be better). I'd drive from location to location maintaining and fixing those machines that crush pop cans and bottles. The vehicle has GPS (does that mean if I see a playground or construction area nearby I can know where to find it again  ) It would give me lots of overtime from time to time as well. I'm excited about this and pray I get the job.

Sure will make our financial situation better, ease Sherry's mind and there is even hope that if/when we move - the job could move with us to another area since these machines are all over the state in every city.

This is so fantastic that I know it has to be God opening a door for me. I still haven't gotten my unemployment applied for and if I get this job I won't need to do that.

Pray that the things Walmart has said against me doesn't keep me from this job. Will keep you informed about what happens but thank you now for your prayers.

That is great news Pete!
God bless,
MM

and to be able to work wherever you move to is in God's leading you also! I pray that Wal-Mart doesn't say or do anything to keep you from getting the job! So I pray, Please God move on this situation and let the eyes of those who look upon Pete with bad news be blinded and say good things instead! In Jesus' name I pray! Amen! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for favors done and prayers answered!

God Bless!
Betty

I don't try to impress the machines or seek to be the center of attraction with a machine - a fault I can't say I do better with around people. Have to keep a watch over my mouth and forget the jokes entirely. Used to be proud of all the jokes I knew and could rattle off. How stupid was I. It didn't make me any smarter just showed others how dumb I was. Like the "Purpose Driven Life" book says "It isn't about you." (Me).

You are right I have to learn to keep my mouth shut unless what comes out is from God - directly or from His Word.

Pete,

My prayers are with you, fella! Sounds like a really fine opportunity. I just went through a job change. I left a position as an insurance agent making quite good money, to go back to my first profeesional love.... teaching. Here in Arkansas, teaching does not provide a lucrative salary.... but, I had had all of the "numbers game" I could stand with the insurance sales.... that and the Sales "suggestions" my boss was asking me to do. I'm not talking of illegal sales suggestions... but, to me Ethics also has a great deal to do with it.

I'm teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra to 8th graders now, and absolutely love it!

Good Luck and Godspeed on this new venture of yours!

God Bless,

Kim

just didn't take to Geometry after that. Oh well. That was a lifetime ago.
