What a difference a day makes! Yesterday we were suffering in high temps until a southerly blew up the coast last night and cooled things down remarkably. Quite chilly today and the beaches were deserted - the perfect time to go detecting!

I'd noticed a couple of other detectorists on the beach the day previous, so I didn't think I'd find a great deal. Not much in the way of jewellery but I did manage to sniff out $22.10 in change, a nice silver ring with a Celtic design, and the fine sterling chain with the big silver A! My wife will be claiming that as her initial is A!

Also found a Thai coin, and some junk jewellery.

Productive day, and I would have kept going if the rain hadn't of set in. An absolute joy to have the beach all to oneself!

Then I arrive home to find a package containing my new sniper coil and coin probe. Yay:thumbup:

sweet finds werewolf  there's nothing better than hunting a deserted beach with plenty of loot. i just got a Excalibur hope to hit more beaches & water to get my gold count up yay i love playing with a new toy :detecting:.

PS your going to love the sniper coil it"s great in real trashy sites & detecting around metal.

That's what I call perfect hunting conditions. The coin that looks a bit like a 50, looks like it came from Indonesia. don't you love the unexpected.
Mick Evans.

Like you said nice to have the beach to yourself.
