a 'horny' find

in the woods

New member
Went out yesterday with the conductor7 to a cellar hole near the top of a mountain on a stage coach road.

We started out between monsoon rains. Got caught in the second one.

While swinging in the woods around the cellar hole this shed caught my eye. That deer musta been good size. To bad the mice got to it, but it was a great find. Found two buttons that are on the handle of the shovel.

Thanks for the picture and the story, TPM!!!

Love finding those antlers. Here in NE Ohio, the best time to find them Feb.-March, before the mice can get to them. I know that people use the antlers to make knife handles and other decorative items but I just keep mine in the basement on a display table. Neat find & HH (like those buttons too!)
