a hole in 3!

Met up with my dfxer friend (scott aka catskill comics) yesterday and by the time I got there he already had a merc in the bag, so I was behind. I found this rind at~ 8" in sandy soil. It has stones, but IDK if there real. My wife thinks not as she says they usualy leave light behind them to show off the diamond. But it was so deep, I think it would predate zirconium. Anyway, it does say sterling on it.

Then we moved to a grassy strip and he dug another merc. Then I backtracked and found a reasonable signal bouncing between dime/quarter. Pulled out the merc, showed my friend and rescanned the hole...another signal at 1 27. Out came the washington. Told my friend again and asked him to get his small digger as there was another signal in the hole. While he was away, I trimmed the side of the hole and scratched the other merc. Now I had 3 silvers!

He dug another a few minutes later.

I actually had 1 wheat, a few clad quarters (i always dig 00 29 surface signals) and a tab. Not too bad. He ended up w/ 3 merc's. Pretty good for 1.25 hours after work.

Am I happy to finally dig more silver...yes. Do I wish it was older..yes. Hopefully this will happen. I am not sure if they are deeper and i cannot identify them or what is happening.

Also having trouble with iron. If there are 2 pieces of iron and I run my coil in between, there will be a nice sweet sound. When I pinpoint, I notice there is nothing there and it draws me to the iron target. For this reason, i ave to ignore good sounds near iron. Maybe someday I will be able to distinguish, but not now. Any input here is always appreciated.

Went out for an hour tonite to no avail. A huge old park was so iron infested, I could get a good read on anything deep.

Maybe a Smaller Coil would do the job for you with the Iron Problem Aaron? If you notice in that Park you mentioned that this infested area is only concentrated in one location, then maybe there was a Pavillion or some other building there once long ago and you are swinging into the area where all the Nails and other debris would have been. There could be other things that could help you out in these Iron Infested Area's also. If you ever get some extra time, shoot me your settings and which model of machine you are using and what Coil via PM? Maybe I can give you a few pointers to try and help you out with your situation. Anyways, sounds like a very successful short hunt to me and hope the Silver continues to show up for you on your next outings. Good Luck and again....Congrats on that Silver! HH to you.

I couldn't care less how old it is...just as long as I see shiny stuff in the hole.
That was a great hunt you had.
