A Great Day In The Field

It was a day of good luck. It started when the farmer was actually home at 8:00 AM. It was indeed his field and permission was granted. The spot was one of those where the house was gone long before the modern trash, so most everything was old. Every pass seemed to have something interesting (for most of the day). I kept thinking I would find an Indian head, but every time I thought I found one, it was another store card! Four in one day in this shape is a first for me. The 1852 large cent was a thrill. I guess this field was an apple orchard until ten years ago. Maybe that is why the stuff came out so nice. I just gave them a rinse and a light scrub with a soft toothbrush. Another first is the mini ball (I think) and it's weird brother.

I worked hard detecting through the corn stubble and it paid off! What fun.

The tokens and LC are shown front and back.

Those tokens are awesome. And so are the buttons, and the large cent and all the rest. Awesome day! :bouncy:

Holy Cow Man!!! That's some good stuff. I really like that old memorabillia. Sometimes it's more fun than coin's. Good job.

The "weird brother" to the minnie ball is a Williams Cleaner Bullet. Nice relics and coins, your in a great site.

I thought that may be a cleaner bullet. How did that work?

Probably the best one day hunt post I've ever seen.
I love the old green injuns' but I think I'd take that largie and the store cards over the greenies any day:thumbup:
