A good week at work

As many of you do not know I work in retail and have the opportunity to dig around a lot in the cash drawers loose change wells.
Here's what I eye'd in the drawers Tuesday and Wednesday at work!
Unlike metal detecting where I just pocket the finds, I have to buy these at face value. But it's a good investment if you ask me.
The nickle I believe was minted by accident with the same alloy as the president series coins were I think.

Im really not trying to burst your bubble, but It is MOST likely, a high-school chemistry experiment in "electro-plating". The coin is placed in a solution and charged with low levels of electricity... the gold-salts in the solution attach themselves to the nickel... and you have a "Gold" coin.

I did this back in high-school

RARE ? In a way, because there are probably only a few thousand done by students in chemistry... valuable, nope.

allthough i see my 'finds' be leanin over and checkin out the register drawer when the cashier opens it. I sure got a lot o' odd looks and draws slammed shut
Stores that sell a lot o' cigarettes are great places to 'find treasures'. People wil go to grrrreat lengths and spend anything to git thier nic fix.

They blinded you with science !!! lol !!
