A good tip

Here's a good tip for those who don't know. If you're in an area that has had alot of people there and there are any large rocks protruding from the ground, check around the edges where the rock meets the ground. Kids play on the rocks, people sit there, people read, and things fall out of pockets. I've found alot of good things doing this. I found a Mercury dime on a rock shelf covered by a 1/4 of dirt!It was an easy find. Well, until next time...good hunting!

Another spot is where the grass grows out over the edge of a curb, concrete or asphalt slab, sidewalk, or basketball court, etc. Have found coins and rings just under the edge of the grass.

It's funny you should mention that. I realized that a couple of weeks ago while doing a wooded site. I found eight silver coins and 6 of them were against rocks. So now when I see a large rock that someone might take a rest on, I go out of my way to check it out. HH Rich
