A Good Time

I took the old tried and true Tesoro Silver Umax to a parking lot across from an old church that I hunt from time to time. This area has been hunted many times and there were even fresh dug holes with trash left on the surface by some ignorant person. I tried to clean them up so I did not get blamed and so the area would remain open to detecting. In about 45 minutes I found a quarter, 2 dimes, two nickels and a bunch of pennies. All of the silver was clad. The best part was I found two rings, one a costume ring and one a 10k yellow gold wedding band. Not bad for a hunted out area. I am waiting for a new Minelab Equinox 600 so we will see if it can outdo the trusty ole Tesoro. I have a Garrett AD and several other detectors but I seem to always go back to the Tesoro as its light, simple and finds stuff.

Looks like a good day! Way to go on the rings!

Some people just love the original style, no meter, beep and dig detectors.

Excellent! I hunted with a Shadow x5 for many years and learned to trust its whisper tones. I too want the way of the screen and tones though ;-)
