I must say this was a suprise find-A nice old token from the Pioneer Saloon in Troutdale Oregon-Date aprox 1896...
I live very close by & this is my best most awsome coin/token to date...And yes I've found silver 1/2's & a Peace Dollar...But this to me is the best..
I first found the badly mangled fork-oldie & at one time a thing of splendor-now not so much.
Then at the main entrance walk to the park-almost under the sidewalk-I found this TINY silver ring. There is a story to it also...Its not a childs ring (IMHO)-even though its tiny tiny..There are some markings remaining that went all around-its now mostly worn smooth. A child would have outgrown it long before that kind of wear would occur...
But I believe I have more evidence....Same park-the day after Christmas working with my 4" coil in a trashy spot near the entrance I found this small gold ring-with some very nice old school diamonds. If this was a wedding band then the small ring could have also been hers I'd wager..Luckilly I don't have to melt everything I find nowadays & get to keep them as a "pair"...
Not a bad day for a hunted out park-And I'm super happy about the local token...
Oh-was using a new to me Sovereign XS & the 12" SEF coil-It's a killer Queen Dynomite like a lazer beam...
