A Good Day And Finally The Tone!

I left home this morning to do some beach hunting around 4:00 am to beat the heat. I arrived around 4:45 and within a few minutes I discovered a ladies open hand bag with a purse in it, shoes, and a cell phones on the sand. I looked around but did I didn't see anyone. I left it and started detecting thinking that the owner was somewhere near. I never did see anyone and that made me concern about the owner. I finally called the police and after he looked at the IDs, he thought that he knew her. He said that she like to party and she and her friends like to go skinny dipping at night. He was trying to contact her whenever I left. I hope that she is alright. Anyway I started back MDing along the shore finding the usual clad and and junk jewelery. I notice a nice cut-out along the beach so I decided to try it. My first signal was a tone that I never heard before with a VDI of 81 on the 180 meter. I dug one scoop and standing in the dirt was this beautiful 14k gold pendant. What a nice way to end the morning because the heat was becoming unbearable for me..

Good find. I think the heat is getting bad all over.

Great find! And hope the lady is OK. Your VDI also kind of blows out of the water those who told me thin gold rings won't read below 100 if they are in the ground for a while. My tests say otherwise, and I'm talking the thinnest of rings.
