A good day and a question Ace 350

Picked up $6.90 and a couple old pieces
of jewelery with the ACE 350.

My question is about a couple rings I have
sitting in my junk collection box. They both
look like junk to me, but the one with the stones
(they look like cheap glass) has 8Kgld on the
inside. I never heard of 8k before. And the color
looks off to me. It rings up as gold in the Ace 350
ID. The thin ring just as an 8 on the inside but no
K next to it. It also has weathering/corosion.

Pretty sure that stands for gilded......... electronic placed coating in the short explanation

It is like the one that I found that says 18KHGE. HGE means heavy gold electroplate. WORTHLESS.
