A fun time detecting...

I gained permission to hunt a little old lady's farm house yard on the 4th. It was also her birthday and her son was visiting. Super nice folks. She even said that there are stories of burried treasure in the back yard (which I did not look for, yet).

Here are the finds from about four hours. The T-shaped thing is points from an old Model T. Check out that spark plug - must have been from the same car. Also found a sterling pin and junk pin with "diamonds". How about that Columbian Expo. token? It is all eaten up on the back but does have the 189? date on there. The ruler is brass and looks home made. It is heavy, 1/4" thick and marked on both sides. Top it off with three silver coins (1892 Barber Qtr!) and an 1890 IH, plus some wheats. I also found a junk bracelet not shown.

It sure made for interesting digging.

Best of luck to all and HH - Robin

You must go back sometime and see what else you can find. Congrat's, Good Luck and HH.

Nice assortment of stuff including a fine assortment of coins. That barber for sure has seen some use before being lost. Is the reverse as worn as the front? Just curious as I have an older merc. that looks like it is as sharp as a razor. Congratulations again and the junk pc. of jewelry was more likely a fine pc. of Victorian Costume Jewelry for fine lady.
