A fun hunt with Neal...

Neil and I met up to hunt an old ghost town which is now just fields. We have hunted these fields for a long time as have many other detectorists. We still managed to pull a few keepers each. I think Neal ended up with four IH's with an 1866 in the mix. I found what is pictured: 1837 large cent with fancy edge (thought it was a gear at first), a Niles, MI store card and an 1864 IH (no L). It was surely fun to hunt in January with a good friend and find stuff. We got a workout when the ground thawed - five pounds of mud and soy sticks stuck to each foot. My legs are a bit sore this morning.

Good finds bfcb!

Nice finds. Neal is always fun to hunt with. I learned alot from him, but I think he held back some info because he always kicked my butt in the trashy parks.

It is hard to beat experience! I use to regularly beat him out on finds, but not for the last couple years. I think he stole my luck magnets one time and never gave them back! He is mean like that - ha ha.
