...She was vocalizing about how sick she was of all the commercialism we are bombarded with, concerning Christmas..........She is WAY too correct, on this issue...........Starting with that "BLACK FRIDAY" day after Thanksgiving nonsense, "the busiest shopping day until Christmas Eve"...........Spend, spend spend........Run our credit cards up buying whatever, and worry about paying for it next year........Perpetuate the myth that the amount you spend on any given person is directly related to your depth of love for them(Want proof???Jewelry store ads blathering about their products, from $99.00 to $6,000.00+,and BUY YOUR LOVED ONE A NEW VEHICLE FOR CHRISTMAS)........Now, don't get me wrong, I AM buying gifts for my loved ones this year, but for us, the main focus is on CHRIST, in the word Christmas..........Every year, it seems that we are bombarded, earlier and earlier, by the mass commercialism this time of year brings. The call goes out to bring CHRIST back into Christmas, and it seems the call for Christ is fading away more and more, being replaced by SPEND,SPEND,SPEND.........Christmas Eve, I will be in the worship Service at our Church....playing, singing, and honoring our Savior........Christmas Day, I will be with my closest loved ones, exchanging gifts, and enjoying a nice meal....I AM NOT spending tons of money, don't have it to spend, wouldn't even if I did. The things that are most valuable, are what you can't buy with ANY amount of money: GOD'S LOVE,AND HIS SON,JESUS,AMEN!!!..........

You and your FB friend are traveling on the right road....the straight and narrow one with Jesus! Many of us cannot travel and some do not have close friends or loved ones to spend Christmas with but still keep Christ in Christmas! Count your many blessings, wgsteve; count them one by one, for you and Marcia are blessed with each other, her son and all your families along with Church family so give God the glory and praise in voice, music and song, for He is our blessed Savior and is worthy of all praise and Christmas Day is for celebrating His virgin birth in human form upon this earth! Amen! Ma
