A friend lost his ring....

MrGee

New member
..so he called me to ask if I could find it for him. He was standing on his deck and wasnt sure if it went through the space between the deck boards or bounced off the edge.He told me that it was a narrow band of gold between two bands of titanium. Now, the situation is this - there used to be a pool in the backyard and the area under the deck it overgrown with a huge out of control ivy and is also criscrossed with wires and pipes left over from the pool. A real challenge. I looked for about a half hour on Thursday and couldn't find it through all the trash. Went back tonight and decided to be a little more systematic. Found it in less than ten minutes. Now here's the kicker.....he wasn't even home when I went back and believe me the little devil on my left shoulder kept whispering "he's not here...he''ll never know" But I resisted and I tied it to his door knob with a piece of string so he woundn't miss it. He called later and asked if I'd been there. Seems he got home and saw a piece of twine hanging on his door so he took it off and threw it away. He didn't even wonder why it was there or look! If he didnt' find it again this time he can call someone elsel He's not THAT good a friend.

I weep for my fellow man!

Ooops!!! bad move on his part.:sadwalk:

I don't know whether to laugh or cry!:lmfao:

:heh::heh::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::heh::heh: Sorry about that, just had to laugh! Now he can go looking in the direction in which he threw it. Would he dare come crying back to you? I wouldn't.

I haven't talked to him since, so I don't know if he found it or not. He told me he paid $500 for it but it didn't look like anything that special.
