A Four Bit Euro a Silver Mounted Quartz and a Silver Ear Ring

I did not have a lot of time this morning so I decided to see if
there were any new finds at the tot lot down the road.

My Compadre was in the trunk. It was elected.

The first thing of interest I found was a Euro 50 cent piece.:O It
is the diameter of a US quarter but twice as thick. Gold in color.

I found an allen wrench that fits the knobs on my Tesoro's. That's
handy. I'll keep that in my bag.

I then found a quartz crystal mounted in silver wire.

Then I found this silver ear ring. It is a funny corroded color, but
it is marked silver.

All this stuff was under the mary go round or right next to a large
metal object. I think I missed them before.

It seems to be another successful "speedy-compadre" story.

You find euro coins in the middle of the USA, while I find cents quarters and dimes on our sandy belgian beaches.

I looked for one at wallyworld today, but no go.
Looked at HD, but all they had was ames 7 in 1 tool... HUGE handle, and I thought, too big and thick...

I like the Fiskers. It cuts flaps better than anything I've used.

It's strong, but the real challenge will come when the ground is hard.

I almost did not find mine at Wallie World, but it was on top of the

shelve. It was the only one they had.


Hay Tony, I have gotten better at detecting next to big iron and steel.

Many of my recent finds were that way. All the good finds to day

were under a steel mary go round or under low laying play ground

equipment. I have figgered out that I can do it. I just never had the

confidence to do it before. I don't know what I'm doing different except

not giving up. I don't have enough sense to give up sometimes.

The exception is my physical stamina. I just ain't like I used to be.

Good grief, Tabdog. The way you're going, there will be nothing left in the ground in Arkie Land. The treasures will be all gone. What do you think your secret is? Your metal detector or your thoroughness.

If you ever get up to Minnesota, I'll have to detect with you so's I can steal some of your wisdom. I 'm gettin' up there in age too and I've got to find something good before I tip over. Don't worry about not being what you used to be - nobody is. I'm sliding down hill too - my memory used to be real good. I used to remember going to the dance with my father and coming home with my mother..... Can't recall that anymore.
