Way back when I started the game, I was hunting one of my favorite surf areas, with my Mark II one day and recovered this nice Fossil watch. It had one of the pins broken, where the watch face attaches to the band and Huntress took it to a jeweler for me and had one reinstalled and it's been good to go ever since. The date of recovery was 06/21/05 and I still wear it today.

Fast forward to 06/14/07, I was hunting another surf area and picked up another Fossil watch. It had been submerged a while and possibly was dashed on the rocks, as the bezel was cracked and it was flooded. Threw it in the junk jewelry box, but did not give it too much thought.

A local mate of mine told me he had a similar circumstance and Fossil replaced one for him, for $25. I called Metro Service Center (800-842-8621) and explained, I was a treasure hunter and I found this Fossil and described the damages. Fossils have an 11 year warranty, btw. I did not deceive them in any way and was totally up front. They said, "no problem, just send the watch in with a check for $27 and they would either repair or replace the item". A few days later, I called just to check on the status of the order and they said the watch was in fact totalled and they were issuing me a gift certicate for $113.50, towards my choice of anything on the menu. Gulf Huntress and I selected a couple of beauties and they happen to match and here they are.

Hers was $75 and mine was $65, plus tax. Total outlay, including my initial cost is about $60.
Got any Fossil Watches laying around? If so, maybe you could upgrade, as well.
