A forgotten update - glory to God

Pete in MI

Some time back, when we had more people at work and I had just gotten into maintenance, I suffered from a heel spur that limited my walking because of the pain. The spur caused me to shift my weight and causing top of my foot to hurt even more and then that caused me to shift my weight yet further which affected my hips and back. It was terrible pain but I endured to get the job done.

2 things have made a change. One was coming back to God and the other was your prayers for my foot. This has been several months since you were asked for the prayers - and back to September of last year when I came back to God.

I hadn't paid much attention over this time but here is something to consider. First we lost a lot of people in maintenance. Secondly, our pattern of doing the job changed taking us from about 11 miles of walking a night to about 15 - 18. With the loss of more personnel there are nights I have to scrub the floors and then polish the main areas (about 20+ miles of walking) and others have commented "How can you do all that walking?" One of my coworkers (a year younger than me) says his legs hurt part way thru the night but he sees me and wonders how I do it night after night and especially those 2 nights of the week I do 'it all' myself.

Here is the answer to your prayers and why I can 'do it all':

Isa 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

On those long nights I usually get out of work and go detecting and add even more miles to my walking.

I just wanted to let you know God is wonderful and he hears your prayers (but you knew that already :): didn't ya)

Thank you for your prayers and glory to God for showing others Christians are different than the 'worldly' people - and they notice too.

Thank you Father God and thank you my Lord Jesus.

Pete, I don't know how you do it, that is a lot of walking. I'm glad you've turned your heart back to Jesus!! Keep the faith, He won't let us down no matter what are circumstances are. It is through his strength that keeps me going.

God bless you Pete,

Doug
