A flat button kind of a day...

Got over quite a few plain flat buttons yesterday. Went to 2 different farms and one of the sites was actually a pioneer station near here. It is very unfortunate that they don't ever plow these fields because you know there is good stuff down there where a deep plowing would bring it up. I thought that little wing nut thing was interesting, it does have threads but I've never seen one shaped like that.

I've always enjoyed finding buttons, you really get a sense of history when digging them...Great finds, you should find a coin or two there..
