Got out with my hunting buddy early this morning and headed to a town we where invited too by a friend of an owner we had met on out last hunt.
Although the properties where rather small there are many more still left to hunt. Not to mention the owner said he was going to ask others in the town he knows and get us some more places.
Man if everyone was as great as this guy gaining permission everywhere would be a walk in the park. Although we do pretty well so I cannot complain.
Anyhow, the guy owns an old church and that is the first place we hunted. We then moved on to his yard later in the day.
Here is a side view of the old church that was built in the mid 1800s.

My first cool find was a nice Buffalo Nickel at about 8" or so. It happens to be in great shape compared to most I dig.
Here is a picture of it as dug but, it came out rather blurred.

My next find was a pleasant surprise and the first one I have dug for the new season of 2013.
It has no date but its a keeper regardless. Here is a picture as it came out of the hole.

Next are all my finds for the day some wheat's, a what is it (looks as if it would stitched on to something, what appears to be a handmade sinker, the Buffalo, a Jeff, and the SLQ. Plus all the junk plus clad in the top left.

My friend found the oldest coin a 11 wheatie. Here are his finds minus the junk which he had already discarded.

What a nice day it turned out to be and we made another good friend.
Happy Hunting.
