A first for me...

I had my last class today. My teacher (a fellow bottle digger) left us with some words of wisdom which brought tears to my eyes, and I was let out early to do some digging. I hit the old base and found a wheat penny in the first hole. I then got a bunch of brass and a few pre-WW1, US Army buttons. I gave the buttons and the penny to some kids out walking with their mothers and continued on. Amidst a lot of coal and iron I got a decent deep signal and found my first guideon tip. At first I thought I had a 50 Cal. but then I saw it was hollow. I found the eagle button right by the car. I also included a small gun, some pennies and a ring I had soaking since last fall.

Any ideas on the cam looking thing in the first pic? It looks like a firing pin of some sorts. Thanks for looking and have a good one.

Any ideas on the "Sweet Orr" button?"
