A first for me

Rained last night so I deciided to hunt a park that I had hunted off and on over the last year. I was working near a picnic area and got a solid 42 dual signal that indicated that the target was on or close to the surface. As I got my pinpointer out, I spotted a quarter just peeking thru the grass. As I retrieved it, I noticed another quarter very close to the first so after retrieving it, I decided to probe with my pinpointer and found 5 more almost on top od the original. Seven quarters literally within an mchsi of each other! Undortunately, they are all clad.

Clad or silver all coin spills are fun to find :)

Same thing to me a few years back but, they were pennies.

Those are always great!

Two years ago I was detecting near a picnic shelter where a bunch of guys go after playing softball just across the street. There are very course stones around the shelter. I went over them with my coil and thought I was picking up bottle caps. I moved the stones away with my shovel and found a quarter. Before it was all said and done I found 12 or 13 quarters in an area of about 2'x4'.

Near as I can figure, they sell snacks or refreshments and everything must be in some increment of 25 cents and change must roll off of the picnic table into those stones. I went back this year and found a few more. Nothing but quarters.
