Got out for a couple hours and got a 1808 Draped Bust Half Cent (A first for me), 1876 Shield Nickel, a Flat Button, and a round button.
MXT x SEF 12x15 = GOOD FINDS!!!!!

Great finds Joe....:clapping:

I am in awe Joe. Fantastic finds and I do love that shield nickel. I know the half cent is one heck of a find, but when one brings up an old nickel from the past..................WOW!!!!! Those are so special. Thanks for sharing and I love the pics and post. BIG congratulations on your half cent, shield nickel and all of them. There's more there. Just be patient. HH to all, Nancy

Excellent finds Joe, congrats.

Nice finds!!! Make sure an early copper guy looks at that half cent for die variety. (Happiness could follow.) Congratulations on a couple hours well spent !!!

Good for you! You folks back east have the advantage on much older coins and artifacts over those of us here in the Pacific North west. I'd love to make a find like that. However, I did luck out and find an 1860 democratic campaign button from the Lincoln - Douglas presidential campaign at an old homestead several years back.

Hi Joe, CONGRATULATIONS on some G-R-E-A-T FINDS!! I now own a M-6 along with a couple other detectors, that I use for dirt detecting. I don't have an MXT anymore, but I have regretted selling it several yrs. ago, because I found some of my oldest coins with that detector!! Plus, I like the Prospecting Mode for checking IRON Content in the ground before you would detect!! But, I never hunted in Prospecting Mode, and I was wondering How Many People Detect in PROSPECTING MODE for Coins & relics? Curious Minds WANT TO KNOW!! hH, Les Robinson

Hi Les,
I hunt in Relic mode with the trigger forward and zero Disc.. Low tones tell me where the iron is and hi tone pick out the goodies!!!!!!
