Hey folks! Was swinging the coil in a field that was once inhabited by a loyalist, who died on the property in 1832, at the age of 90. This gold plate or wash over copper ring was about 8" down and displayed 10:36 on the Etrac. Thanks for looking guys!

Man! :surprised: That is one old looking ring!:clapping: Find anything else out in there like old coinage, cut nails and the like?

I only had an hour, so the finds were few. No coins, but plenty of square nails. The field beside it in the other loyalist grant produced a 1797 cartwheel penny and early 1800's coppers. This new field seems promising as well. Thanks for your comment Mudpuppy! :)

That's an old one!

Very nice find. It must be thrilling to dig up colonial history. It my area early 20th century finds are the best I have seen.
Keep sharing your good fortune with us.
