Havn't really posted on here in awhile, but couldn't not post this one. 1871 S Seated dime. When I first popped this coin out I saw the back first and figured Barber, so I was pretty excited. But then I flipped it over and about fell to the ground. This marks my first seated coin, and first 1800's silver. I Just about left it in the hole actually! The signal disappeard when I pulled the plug so I searched around the hole with my probe and dug 3 or 4 inches deeper with no luck. Just as I was about to replace the plug and move on I noticed a gopher hole running through the side of my hole. I stuck my finger in there and pulled out a little clump of dirt and there she sat. Can't wait to get back out there!
