A Few South Texas Wild Flowers..........

Kelley (Texas)

New member
I got out in the field yesterday and took a few pictured of some South Texas wild flowers. Spring has arrived and the wild flowers were everywhere. These pictures were taken with my Sony NEX-6 camera with a vintage Minolta MD 50mm F1.4 lens. Lighting was not the best, cloudy overcast skies, no sun. These pictures were taken a few miles north of San Antonio, along a stretch of railroad tracks. Kelley (Texas) :)

do they do anything with the fields there or is it just open pastures?

railroad tracks and just about anywhere else they can find a place to take root. We look forward to seeing them every spring. Kelley (Texas) :)

The Texas Blue Bonnets were on the world news tonight. Beautiful.

Very nice photos. Wish we had areas like that to shoot in this part of Tx. Buffalo grass, tumbleweeds and mesquite trees are about it...but we do have wonderful sunsets
